Division B IS TT Contest report
The Div B ISTT contest held on the 6th April was a success. Held in a lecture theatre in Taylor’s Lakeside Campus, the crowd of 165 people really brought live and energy into the most exciting event of Toastmasters.
We had 6 participants for the International Speech contest and another 6 participants for the Table Topics contest. It was very competitive and I am sure that the judges found it difficult to pick the best candidate to represent Division B at the District Level contest. Nevertheless, the champions emerged. The crowd cheered for them! We are proud to say that we will see our victors, Dennis Wee representing us for the International Speech Contest and Emil Anthony for the Table Topics Contest. Best of luck guys!
It was indeed an awesome event. We had great food, fun fellowship and inspiring speeches. I am proud to be the OC for this event as I received many positive comments from the audience. But of course, the best feeling of all is when I got to see smiles on everyone’s faces as they left the venue (the fact that people lingered on till the maintainance guys ad to kick them out was the best testimonial that they enjoyed them self so much and was unwilling to go home).
I really must say a big thank you to those who assisted me in the organization of this event. My gratitude goes out to my Division Governor, Meyyappa Manickam who was always there to offer advice and support, my co –OC Cris who worked hard with me to get everything right and also the wonderful team of dedicated role players. My role players came from other divisions (and even other states). This proves that Toastmasters will unite and is every ready to offer assistance to the other members of the family.
Thank you once again!
