The biggest Toastmasters event of the year - the 2011 Toastmasters International Convention - is almost here: August 17-20! You can still register!
Even if you can't attend, there are many ways to participate in the Convention. For the first time ever, two of the most popular events will be available live online via streaming video: the Board Briefing and the World Championship of Public Speaking.
Watch the Board Briefing live on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m.
Watch the World Championship of Public Speaking live on Saturday Aug. 20 at 8 a.m.
You can watch the contest as it happens on August 20 at 8 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), or at your convenience from 3 p.m. PDT August 20 through 3 p.m. PDT August 21.The cost for a one-time viewing is $29.95 and can be purchased by clicking the speech contest link above.
If you're planning to attend, Toastmasters International is offering a website you can access from any smartphone that provides details about the Convention, including live updates. This site will be available by Monday, August 15.
